General

What is Snappix?

Snappix is a professional Mac screenshot and screen recording app that combines capture, annotation, beautification, and smart tools in one application.

Which macOS versions are supported?

Snappix requires macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Is Snappix free?

Yes! The free plan includes core capture, annotation, and export features. Pro features like OCR, batch processing, and watermarks require a paid plan.

Permissions

Why does Snappix need Screen Recording permission?

Screen Recording permission is required by macOS for any app that captures screen content. Without it, Snappix cannot take screenshots.

Why does Snappix need Accessibility permission?

Accessibility permission enables window detection (for window capture) and global hotkey support. These features won't work without it.

I granted permissions but Snappix still doesn't work

Try these steps:

  1. Quit Snappix completely
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording
  3. Toggle Snappix off, then back on
  4. Relaunch Snappix

Features

Can I customize the screenshot hotkeys?

Yes. Go to Preferences → Shortcuts to set custom key combinations for each capture mode.

Does scrolling capture work with all apps?

Scrolling capture works best with web browsers, document viewers, and code editors. Some apps with custom scroll implementations may have limited support.

Can I use Snappix for screen recording?

Screen recording capabilities are on our roadmap. Currently, Snappix focuses on screenshot capture and editing.

Yes! The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment of $199 that includes all Pro features forever, with no recurring charges.

Can I get a refund?

Please contact support@snappix.app within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

Troubleshooting

Screenshots appear black or blank

This is usually a permissions issue:

  1. Check that Screen Recording permission is granted
  2. Restart Snappix after granting permissions
  3. If using an external display, try capturing from the built-in screen first

The editor doesn't open after capture

Make sure Snappix is set as the active screenshot handler. Check Preferences → General for the "Open editor after capture" setting.

Snappix uses too much memory

Large scrolling captures can temporarily use more memory. The app automatically cleans up resources when you close editor windows. If issues persist, try restarting the app.
