OCR Text Recognition

Pro feature

Extract text from any screenshot using optical character recognition.

How to use:

  1. Capture or open a screenshot in the editor
  2. Click the OCR tool in the toolbar
  3. Select the area containing text
  4. Extracted text is copied to your clipboard

Use cases:

  • Copy text from images, PDFs, or non-selectable UI elements
  • Extract error messages from terminal screenshots
  • Grab text from presentation slides or videos

Auto-Redact

Automatically detect and redact sensitive information in your screenshots.

Detected patterns:

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Physical addresses
  • Other personally identifiable information

How to use:

  1. Capture a screenshot
  2. Click Auto-Redact in the toolbar
  3. Snappix scans the image and highlights detected sensitive data
  4. Review and confirm which items to redact
  5. Redaction is applied as a permanent blur

Color Picker

Pick colors from anywhere on your screen with precision.

How to use:

  1. Activate the color picker from the menu bar or toolbar

How to use:

  1. After capturing a screenshot, click Pin in the editor
  2. The screenshot appears as a floating window
  3. Drag to reposition, resize by dragging edges
  4. Click the close button or right-click to dismiss
