Update reliability

• Fixed the app sandbox permissions required by Sparkle's installer services, so updates initiated by Snappix 1.1.7 and later can finish inside the app.
• If you are currently using Snappix 1.1.6 or earlier, download and install 1.1.7 once from the website. Future updates can then install automatically.

Editing and export polish

• Stabilized measurement endpoint and rotation-handle dragging so control points no longer jump when the annotation model updates during a gesture.
• Hardened export settings against invalid metadata and quality values, and made constrained output dimensions land exactly on their configured limit.
• Completed Simplified Chinese labels for AI enhancement, automatic beautification, sharing, and mode controls.

Snappix continues to support macOS 12 and later.

OCR and translation

• Added an OCR translation workspace on macOS 15 and later, with automatic language detection, selectable target languages, block and full-text views, progress feedback, and copy actions.
• Translation runs through Apple's on-device framework; OCR remains available on supported earlier macOS versions without translation.

Preview and export consistency

• Unified canvas geometry and backdrop rendering so exported images more closely match the editor preview.
• Improved rotation, gradients, overlays, noise, blur edges, frames, and annotation placement across preview, copy, and export paths.

Annotation editing

• Rectangle, circle, blur, measurement, and text annotations can be resized again after creation; supported annotations also expose stable rotation controls.
• Number markers can be moved and renumbered without opening the text editor.
• Fixed text creation and editing: Return saves, Shift+Return inserts a new line, and double-click reliably reopens existing text.
• Refined selection handles and gesture routing to prevent control points and rotation handles from jumping while dragging.

Snappix continues to support macOS 12 and later. OCR translation requires macOS 15 or later.

Export improvements

• WebP is now the default export format, providing smaller screenshot files while preserving sharp text and interface details.
• Added a bundled near-lossless WebP encoder so exports remain consistent across supported macOS versions.
• Refined export controls, canvas rendering, and the menu bar icon for a clearer everyday workflow.

Editor improvements

• Localized AI enhancement modes and error messages in both English and Chinese.
• Moved AI enhancement controls into a focused sheet and improved annotation panel stability.
• Removed unused sharing and Slack integration code to simplify the editor and reduce unnecessary maintenance surface.

Existing format preferences remain respected; PNG and JPEG are still available from export settings.

Capture

• Added Automatic Scrolling Capture to the app menu, making it faster to start a complete long-page capture.
• Improved frame retention and validation during scrolling captures for more reliable long captures.

Editing and Localization

• Renamed Copy as PNG to the clearer Copy Image action across all supported languages.
• Improved coordinate mapping and blur rendering so edited images stay consistent between preview, copy, and export.

Export

• Exported files now select the next available filename instead of overwriting an existing file with the same generated name.
• Save dialogs now resolve filenames consistently for the selected format and capture date.

Updates

• The automatic installer in this release does not complete successfully in the sandboxed app.
• Install Snappix 1.1.4 manually from the website once; that release repairs the installer used for future automatic updates.

Updates

• Replaced the obsolete custom installer launcher with Sparkle 2.9's bundled Installer XPC service.
• Enabled the installer launcher required by the macOS App Sandbox, restoring the authorization path used to install updates.
